Maude wines are made from carefully selected parcels of fruit from vineyards that Sarah-Kate and Dan know and love. A Central Otago Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris as well as a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc are hand crafted at the custom built winery in Wanaka. Wines from the Mt Maude Vineyard in the Maungawera valley have joined the Maude range as the individual vineyard reserve wines.
Maude Pinot Noir 2018
$38.00 per bottle
Notes: The 2018 Maude is sourced from Central Otago’s premium sub regions, each contributing to this savoury, complex Pinot Noir. Aromas of dark cherry, plum and dried herbs team up with a palate that displays layers of dark fruit flavours entwined with velvety but structural tannins. Careful cellaring for 5 years will reward.

Maude Sauvignon Blanc 2019
$22.00 per bottle
Passionfruit, gooseberry, melon and lemongrass - lush, textural and fruit forward with a crisp dry finish. Our only wine not from the Central Otago region, in our mind Marlborough does it better and thanks to great mates we can make one of NZ’s iconic wines too.
Maude, Mt Maude EMW Pinot Noir 2018
$45.00 per bottleA celebration of two blocks of mature Pinot Noir from the Mt Maude Vineyard. As the name suggests the blocks face opposite directions. Made in a different style - 100% whole cluster, clone 10-5, often only one pigaege during the ferment, definitely a unique winemaking twist on Pinot Production. Paler, intense perfume and interest on the nose yet full, luscious and complex. Love it or hate it this Pinot certainly creates some debate.
Maude, Mt Maude Kids Block Pinot Noir 2017
$45.00 per bottle
Another Single Vineyard Pinot from the Mt Maude pedigree. Six rows of Dijon Pinot Noir clones were planted in 2000 and dedicated to Dawn and Terry’s grandchildren. Now, not unlike the grandchildren themselves, they’re reaching a level of maturity and personalities are starting to emerge. We enjoy harnessing those personalities into a Pinot Noir respectful of the Mt Maude name, albeit defined by a vibrance and vitality that leaps out of the glass at you.
Maude Poison Creek Pinot Noir 2017
$45.00 per bottle
From the Poison Creek Vineyard in Queensberry / 280m elevation / planted in 2003. The name refers to the pure mountain stream that provides the water vital to the growth of this vineyard planted on an ancient and very free draining river terrace. Clone 5 / 36% whole cluster / 23 days maceration – perhaps the most refined of the 4 single vineyard Pinot Noirs, inky, blackcurrant vine and violet aromas – a sinewy and structural frame with remarkable line and length.
Maude Mohawk Hill Pinot Noir 2017
$45.00 per bottle
The name given to our Lowburn Vineyard in Cromwell as when you stand amidst the vines and look out across Lake Dunstan the hill you look directly upon was once aptly named Mohawk Hill by the workers who came to Central Otago to build the Clyde Dam. Planted in 2008 / 220 m elevation. Clone 667 / 36% whole cluster / 23 days maceration – without doubt the largest and most luscious of the 4 single vineyard Pinot Noirs, ripe cherry and plum aromas – rich, round and cuddly, a definite a crowd favourite.
Maude Rose 2019
$28.00 per bottleOur very first Rose, Pinot Noir / West block / 10-5, 24 hours on skins, stainless steel fermentation - a delicate blush colour, watermelon, strawberry and floral aromas with a wonderful lip-smacking mouthfeel.
Maude Chardonnay 2019

Maude Pinot Gris 2019
$27.00 per bottle
The 2019 vintage growing season began well with good soil moisture and warmer temperatures. The months of October, November and even into December proved to be exceptional growing conditions for the vines, with warm days and higher than average rainfall, resulting in healthy canopies, good flowering and fruit set. Warm, settled weather took over as we began the new year and the vineyards, despite a drawn out veraison looked on target for a more typical harvest date. The settled weather continued and picking decisions were made with confidence, easy when the fruit looked so good.
Quince, musk and rose petal florals - textural and fuller bodied from partial fermentation in seasoned oak barrels. Central Otago vineyard blend: Lowburn / Tarras / Gibbston Valley / Wanaka
South Island / $5.00 1-6 bottles / $10.00 dozen
North Island / $6.00 1-6 bottles / $12.00 dozen
